Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Layout Designer to support complex facility and module layouts through a 14-month preconstruction lifecycle. You will produce CAD drawings, coordinate with PMs and engineers, and manage documentation for handoff.

You’ll use AutoCAD and Revit to draft floor plans, review design packages, and track changes across sites, ensuring accurate, organized project records and timely design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design, architecture or engineering.
• 2+ years hands-on AutoCAD experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for floor plans and module drawings.
• Experience with Revit for coordination and documentation.
• Experience collaborating with multi-stakeholders on large projects.
• Facility/layout design for industrial environments.
• Strong design and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide CAD drafting support for composite designs and revisions.
• Lead design review calls with stakeholders and track follow-ups.
• Create and modify module drawings based on redlines.
• Coordinate architectural and engineering specifications for sites.
• Develop construction schedules and cost estimates.
• Maintain a centralized repository of preconstruction documents.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects.
• Ensure timely design reviews and clear communication of risks.
