Job summary

Frontmatec, Inc. is seeking a design engineer to create factory layouts using AutoCAD 2D, Inventor, and Navisworks. You will develop 3D elevations, prepare BOMs, and integrate electrical components from provided data. You will support sales and other departments and ensure adherence to health, safety, and project timelines.

Travel to client sites in North America may be required. Strong English and problem-solving skills are essential for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Autodesk: AutoCAD (2D), Inventor, Vault, Factory Design.
• Knowledge of Navisworks and point cloud software (ReCap).
• Basic English and ability to read 2D/3D drawings.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft AX).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Design factory layouts meeting customer requirements and safety standards and minimize costs and timelines.
• Create detailed 3D elevations (Inventor, Factory Design) including equipment and suspensions.
• Prepare parts lists (bill of materials) for estimating.
• Integrate electrical components from provided spreadsheets into layouts.
• Release production items in the AX ERP system.
• List equipment and provide detailed info to bidding and client teams.
• Prepare drawings for approval, integration, and installation.
• Update master plans after installation and collaborate with sales engineering.
• Lead project meetings and perform occasional site visits in North America.
