LVI Associates in the United States is seeking an Automation Sales Engineer to drive new business in industrial automation projects across controls, robotics, machine vision and system integration.

The role is fully remote with customer-facing autonomy, targeting manufacturing customers nationwide; you will collaborate with engineering teams, manage opportunities from prospecting to award, and help translate customer needs into practical automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience selling industrial automation, controls, robotics, machine vision, or system integration solutions.
• Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts.
• Strong customer-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation technologies.
• Experience with engineering and technical teams through the sales cycle.
• Ability to balance technical discussions with commercial objectives.
• Experience within a system integrator, machine builder, automation supplier, or related industrial organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships.
• Identify manufacturing challenges and recommend automation solutions.
• Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through project award.
• Build relationships with engineering, operations, and plant leadership teams.
• Collaborate with applications and engineering teams to develop technical solutions.
• Support proposal development, customer presentations, and solution reviews.
• Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline within assigned accounts and territories.
• Travel to customer sites for meetings, business development, and project discussions.
