Job summary

Databricks is seeking an Incident Manager to lead major production incidents, coordinate multi-team responses, and communicate updates to executives and customers. You will analyze root causes with engineering and drive reliability improvements across distributed cloud services.

The role requires 5+ years in incident management/SRE, strong cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS/Azure/GCP), expert log analysis, and proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation. BS/MS in CS/Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of incident management, site reliability engineering, or production operations.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate high-severity incidents with cross-team collaboration.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep expertise in log analysis using tools like Datadog, Elasticsearch, Splunk, Cloud Logging, or OpenTelemetry.
• Hands-on experience with observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing) including Prometheus and Grafana.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automating diagnostics and data collection.
• Experience developing incident playbooks and communication templates for consistent updates.
• Excellent writing and communication to both technical and business audiences.
• BS, MS or related Engineering field.

Responsibilities
