Job summary

The Confidential Client seeks a full-time Immigration Litigation Staff Attorney to manage removal defense, federal litigation, and related matters before USCIS, EOIR, BIA, and federal courts nationwide. The position requires bar admission and 3–5 years of removal-defense experience with at least one year of federal court litigation experience.

This role reports to the Immigration Department Head and involves working with diverse clients, developing case strategies, and handling habeas petitions,

Qualifications

• Three to five years of removal-defense experience.
• At least one year of federal-court litigation experience.
• Advanced legal research and concise legal writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to case selection and development through legal screenings, client consultations, factual and legal research, evaluation of legal theories and strategies.
• Develop removal-defense strategies and manage a nationwide caseload, including habeas petitions.
• Litigate before EOIR, BIA, and circuit courts, including drafting federal pleadings, motions, and petitions for review.
• Prepare clients and witnesses, coordinate experts, and ensure proper administrative exhaustion.
• Independently track deadlines and collaborate on legal education materials.
