Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s Optum Insight is hiring a Data Entry Representative to support the Imaging Services team. This non-phone role processes imaging orders received via fax, focusing on accuracy, data integrity, and timely scheduling.

Training provided; full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm MST during business hours, with occasional overtime. Prior Epic experience and familiarity with medical terminology are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ years of healthcare industry experience.
• Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications.
• Ability to work an eight-hour shift between Monday – Friday, 08:30AM – 05:00PM MST.

Responsibilities

• Review, reconcile, and accurately enter imaging orders received via fax into the appropriate systems.
• Verify that orders contain all required information and documentation.
• Identify incomplete, inaccurate, or missing information and contact provider offices to request corrected or updated orders.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of order status and follow-up activities.
• Collaborate closely with scheduling teams to ensure orders are processed efficiently.
• Prioritize and expedite STAT orders requiring immediate attention.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Support workflow efficiency by monitoring order queues and addressing processing backlogs when necessary.
