Job summary

Optum Insight is seeking a remote data entry specialist to support clinical data flows across the U.S. You will access client systems, update demographics, and help maintain accurate records within the EHR and screening tools.

This full-time role requires attention to HIPAA compliance, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to work a rotating schedule between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST, including weekends and holidays. We offer training and benefits within a national healthcare leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years data entry or office experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work any shift between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST, including every third weekend.

Responsibilities

• Access client systems to gather, enter, and update demographic data into the EHR and screening tool databases.
• Reconcile nurse worklist with outcomes from EHR's database into screening tool database.
• Process census reports and obtain required documents per FLR process.
• Build a FLR template for nurse to complete the First Level review.
• Monitor, track, and retrieve client faxes to ensure timely processing.
• Identify and correct inaccurate information as communicated by the client/reports.
• Establish and maintain permanent electronic files.
• Maintain and generate reports to clients in HIPAA/HITECH compliant manner.
• Document actions for management and communicate needs.
• Monitor the First Level Review inbox and respond to inquiries.
• Handle Payor communications and document transmission as needed.
• Answer calls from clients and internal inquiries.
• Prepare and modify documents using Microsoft Office.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
