Job summary

Optum is seeking an experienced IAM professional to design, implement, and operate identity solutions across enterprise applications. You will work with enterprise architects, developers, and trainers to modernize and simplify authentication and authorization processes.

You will mentor team members, document data flows and security controls, and support audits and vendor engagements while maintaining IAM SLAs and providing timely incident responses. This role supports remote work across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT or related field or 8 years of equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Environments, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS): Microsoft Azure/Entra, Amazon, etc.
• Experienced with SSO and MFA implementations.
• Familiarity with networking basics and DNS.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53 Rev 5 IAM requirements and NIST 800-63.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements, design, implement and operate identity solutions under guidance of IAM leadership.
• Act as a technical resource to resolve problems or issues.
• Administer IAM platforms and related internal applications.
• Mentor others in IAM practices and platforms.
• Create detailed documentation on data flows, security measures, and daily operations.
