Job summary

Upsun seeks an IT Systems Engineer focused on identity, access, and automation. You will own Okta as the backbone of our access model, manage SSO, SCIM, lifecycle automation, and integrate with HR systems and Google Workspace.

You will build and maintain workflows with Okta Workflows and n8n, script in Python, and collaborate with Security to satisfy ISO 27001 and SOC 2 requirements. Remote work is the norm for this role.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on experience with Okta or a comparable identity provider, including SSO, SCIM, lifecycle automation, and API-driven provisioning.
• 5+ years in IT systems, identity, or access engineering, in a developer-heavy or engineering-led environment.
• Experience with Google Workspace administration and SaaS-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Own Okta as the backbone of how people get access, managing SSO integrations, policy management, and directory hygiene.
• Run identity day-to-day operations, refine SSO and SCIM integrations, and ensure accurate joiner/mover/leaver flows with HR systems.
• Automate provisioning/deprovisioning and build workflows with tools like Okta Workflows and n8n; manage config as code and SCIM provisioning.
• Develop clear procedures around identity governance and ensure consistent, documented processes.
• Own internal SaaS identity controls, integrate tools, and validate the Google Workspace environment.
