Job summary

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking an Okta Identity Engineer to design, implement, and maintain identity and access management solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. You will partner with cross-functional teams to secure authentication, authorization, and user provisioning using Okta and related technologies.

In this role you will build automation with Okta Workflows, REST APIs, and Terraform, perform security audits, and continuously monitor access patterns to improve

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience, 3+ years of Okta experience.
• Experience using Okta as an enterprise identity provider solution.
• Knowledge of Okta features, integrations, and architecture.
• Understanding of authentication protocols, such as SAML 2.0 or OAuth/SSO.
• Experience with identity management, IDaaS, provisioning, user lifecycle operations, and federation.
• Experience implementing automated provisioning of endpoints using SCIM or JIT capabilities.
• Experience configuring user authentication policies and application connections in Okta.
• Experience configuring and managing MFA factors for Okta users (Okta Verify, FIDO, OTP, RSA).
• Experience building automation using Okta Workflows, REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON payloads.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Okta identity and access management solutions.
• Integrate Okta with cloud/SaaS applications to streamline authentication and authorization.
• Develop and configure SSO and MFA solutions using Okta.
• Design and develop automation with Okta Workflows and/or approved AI-powered tools.
• Perform regular system audits and security assessments to ensure compliance.
• Continuously monitor identities and access rights to mitigate risks and improve security posture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Okta configurations and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and implement identity management solutions.
