Job summary
BairesDev is seeking an IBMi Engineer to maintain and evolve IBM Power-based systems, ensuring stability for enterprise operations.
You’ll work remotely with a global team. Administer Power Systems with HMC and PowerVM; ensure availability with PowerHA and backups; develop RPG and CL applications.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of IBMi (AS/400) systems engineering or administration.
- Proficiency with IBM Power Systems administration (HMC/PowerVM).
- Experience developing in RPG and CL.
Responsibilities
- Administer IBM Power Systems environments using HMC and PowerVM.
- Ensure system availability and data protection with PowerHA and backups.
- Develop and modernize enterprise applications using RPG and CL programming.
- Manage system security and performance using Fortra toolsets and IBMi utilities.
- Execute system upgrades, patches, and firmware management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IBMi workloads with cloud/hybrid architectures.
