Job summary

Tech Mirrors seeks an experienced IBM i (AS/400 / iSeries) Engineer for enterprise applications on the IBM i platform. You will develop, support, and optimize RPG/CL/DB2 for i components while collaborating with stakeholders and infrastructure teams.

The role emphasizes system administration, performance tuning, and modernization efforts, with remote work in the United States possible under a contract arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field is required.
• 5–12+ years hands-on IBM i (AS/400) development experience.
• Strong knowledge of RPG, CL, DB2 for i, and system administration.
• Experience with RDi, Git, Jira, and ServiceNow is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and support IBM i applications.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions on IBM i.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during upgrades and modernization.
• Ensure security, compliance, and adherence to SDLC standards.
• Participate in on-call production support as required.
