Job summary

Infinite Computer Solutions (ICS) is seeking a DB2 Database Developer to lead hands-on design, modernization, and operation of critical data platforms. You will work across a multi-language stack (C#, .NET, C++, COBOL, Assembler) and partner with product teams to deliver reliable software for clients.

In this remote, full-time role, you’ll drive Agile delivery, enforce engineering standards, and collaborate with security, QA, architecture, and operations to ensure secure, scalable DB2 databases

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering leadership for enterprise systems.
• Expertise in SQL.
• Hands-on with IBM DB2 databases and IBM AIX OS.
• Hands-on with C#/.NET development.
• Strong performance, reliability, and operational readiness understanding.
• Experience delivering in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder alignment.
• Ability to participate in production support and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, modernize and operate business-critical platforms.
• Create solutions across a multi-language stack (C#, .NET, C++, Assembler, COBOL).
• Drive Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban): stories, estimation, sprints, demos, retrospectives.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs and plan phased delivery.
• Set engineering standards via code/design reviews and documentation.
• Create tables and update data structures for teammates.
• Collaborate across engineering, QA, architecture, infrastructure, security and product management.
• Embed cybersecurity practices and secure design decisions; support PCI DSS/SOC audits.
• Support production operations: incidents, root-cause analysis, fixes, automation.
• Utilize GitLab for source control and CI/CD; track work in Jira; document in Confluence; manage access with ServiceNow and SailPoint.
• Review and update IBM DB2 and IBM AIX environments.
