Job summary

BRMi is seeking a Junior IT Administrator to support Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations, including Microsoft Entra, Active Directory, AD-LDS, and ADFS, to secure authentication and governance across the organization.

This entry-level role will handle routine IAM requests, assist with application reviews, and document procedures while collaborating with application teams, security personnel, and other technology stakeholders to uphold security standards and least-privilege principles.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in IT operations, technical support, or a related role.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and authentication fundamentals.
• Foundational IAM concepts: SSO, MFA, least-privilege.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support IAM systems including Microsoft Entra, AD, AD-LDS, and ADFS.
• Provision, modify, deprovision service principals in Entra per standards.
• Create and manage Entra Enterprise Applications and user/group assignments.
• Coordinate with secrets management to track and renew client secrets/certificates.
• Review new application requests for IAM security alignment.
• Evaluate authentication requirements and dependencies.
• Assess support for OIDC, SAML, and Integrated Windows Authentication.
• Review user provisioning/deprovisioning methods (SCIM, JIT, manual).
• Identify excessive/unsupported permissions for governance review.
• Provide guidance on governance and integration decisions.
• Respond to IAM consultations and document information.
• Research security group ownership/membership/naming.
