Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer with hyperscale data center experience to join our Data Center practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in large-scale concrete and steel structures and a track record delivering fast-paced technology projects.

This role offers a remote-friendly schedule and travel for client meetings and site visits. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to low-carbon, resilient design solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with 6+ years of related experience
• Licensed U.S. Professional Engineer (PE or SE)
• Experience in data center, mission critical, or large scale facilities
• Experience with BIM ACC (Revit), ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, Safe
• Precast concrete, steel design, seismic, and foundations
• Low embodied carbon materials and sustainable design approaches

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for data center facilities
• Develop design documentation for tilt-up panels, precast, steel framing, and foundations
• Coordinate design with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and calculations with code compliance
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers
• Engage with clients, contractors, and review authorities for queries
• Support business development, proposals, and conceptual design for new pursuits
• Travel as needed for project activities such as client meetings and site visits
