Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist who will perform commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary equipment at customer sites across the United States. This is a full-time, remote-in-US role with up to 100% travel and on-call duties to ensure continuous hydrogen production.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
• Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or other applicable field preferred. Or in lieu of a degree, 2 additional years of construction, repair, or maintenance experience in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
• Ability to travel as needed to carry out duties - up to 100%.
• Industrial gas or high-pressure systems experience highly preferred.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of skill with mechanical systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, testing and commissioning of Plug Power products.
• Lead high level service repair projects on hydrogen infrastructure, including specialized procedures.
• Provide training to first responders, customers, and other Plug service personnel on troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of Hydrogen infrastructure.
• Support the commissioning and ongoing maintenance and operation of industrial hydrogen infrastructure including interpreting electrical wiring schematics.
• Conducting Point to Point functionality testing and pressure testing per ASME standards.
