Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist to perform commissioning, preventative maintenance troubleshooting, and repair of hydrogen storage infrastructure and electrolyzers at customer sites. This role involves heavy travel (up to 100%) and on-call responsibilities to maintain hydrogen production around the clock.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction, repair, or maintenance in electrical, industrial, or mechanical fields.
• Associates or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or related field; or 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to travel up to 100% for duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, test, and commission Plug Power products.
• Lead high-level service repair projects on hydrogen infrastructure, including tank and vacuum jacket repairs.
• Provide training to first responders, customers, and Plug service personnel on troubleshooting and maintenance of hydrogen infrastructure.
• Support commissioning and maintenance of industrial hydrogen infrastructure, including wiring schematics, piping testing per ASME, and testing with engineering assistance.
• Read and interpret drawings and P&IDs; document results from system testing and commissioning.
