Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist to perform field commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary equipment.

The role involves up to 100% travel and on-call support to keep hydrogen production running around the clock. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial hydrogen systems, and the ability to read drawings and P&IDs.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
• Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or other applicable field preferred.
• Or in lieu of a degree, 2 additional years of construction, repair, or maintenance experience in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
• Ability to travel as needed – up to 100%

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, testing and commissioning of Plug Power products.
• Lead high level service repair projects on hydrogen infrastructure including liquid tank repairs and vacuum jacket line repairs.
• Provide training to first responders, customers, and Plug service personnel on troubleshooting and maintenance of Hydrogen infrastructure.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs; perform pressure testing per standards; document results and close out tasks.
