Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a hybrid role based near Chicago, IL. After training, you’ll work in a hybrid schedule with on-site and remote elements, coordinating refills, processing prescriptions, and verifying insurance for patients and healthcare providers.

You’ll collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and care teams to ensure accurate records and timely shipments, with a strong emphasis on customer service, compliance, and building patient trust.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients to schedule medication refills and deliveries.
• Process prescriptions and refill requests.
• Verify insurance and payment information.
• Update patient records accurately.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty pharmacy experience

• Patient access or reimbursement experience

• Prior authorization knowledge

• Call center experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
