Job summary

Goettl Air Conditioning seeks an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead a team of technicians, coaching them to sharpen diagnostics and ensure calls are handled correctly. You report to the Operations Manager and collaborate with scheduling, quality control, training, and customer satisfaction.

This is a salaried, full-time role with a base of $70K–$75K plus a bonus plan, weekly pay, and authority to coach, train, and improve the team in Reno’s high-volume market from a branch office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the home services industry with leadership or senior technical experience
• HVAC diagnostics knowledge and service call structure
• Excellent communication and coaching skills
• Familiarity with sales follow-up and proposal processes
• OSHA-10 certification and high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Ensure HVAC technicians diagnose issues accurately and deliver the correct scope of work
• Drive accountability for first-time fix rates and quality service recommendations
• Provide real-time coaching on service calls and monitor technician performance
• Mentor technicians to sharpen troubleshooting and customer communication
• Lead weekly technician training sessions and enforce the five-step service process
• Conduct post-call follow-ups to verify customer satisfaction and improve conversions
• Collaborate with scheduling and other departments to optimize technician efficiency
• Communicate marketing campaigns and promotions to the service team
