Job summary

Budderfly is seeking an HVAC Remote Quality Assurance Agent to remotely commission, audit, and close out HVAC installations across North America. You will ensure quality, safety, and performance while coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

With 7+ years in commercial HVAC, you will review TAB and commissioning docs, guide installers, and monitor ongoing performance. Travel up to 35% is required; nights/weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial HVAC installation, startup, commissioning and QA.
• Oversees third-party contractors with safety and quality focus.
• Interprets TAB reports, drawings and control sequences.
• Communicates technical findings to contractors, customers and managers.
• Travel up to 35% and work nights/weekends as needed.
• Familiar with EMS/BMS and remote monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead remote commissioning, QA and closeout of HVAC programs.
• Act as accountability point for installation quality and safety.
• Provide real-time guidance to contractors during installation.
• Perform remote closeout reviews with checklists on installation days.
• Review pre/post installation surveys and photos for compliance.
• Interface with teams via phone, video and collaboration tools.
• Monitor new installations remotely for performance and issues.
• Develop contractor punch lists from TAB and startup data.
• Escalate concerns to internal stakeholders for timely action.
• Maintain repeatable QA processes across Budderfly installations.
