Job summary

Parity Inc. is seeking a Building Intelligence Engineer in the greater Washington DC area to optimize HVAC systems and support client projects from assessment to commissioning.

You will work with Sales & Operations to ensure buildings are quoted, set up, and optimized throughout the engagement. You will conduct on-site assessments, perform energy analyses, manage installation, and coordinate with programming teams to reduce energy waste.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher.
• 2–5 years in energy auditing, MEP engineering, or building automation.
• Familiarity with energy incentive programs.
• Willingness to travel to client sites in the greater DC area.
• Eager to grow in a fast-growing startup and continuously improve processes.
• Experience with building automation drawings and controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site assessments and estimate potential energy savings.
• Perform energy analyses using parity modeling tools with site data and equipment specs.
• Manage service installation from start to finish, on schedule and budget.
• Coordinate between Parity’s platform and field controllers, testing control sequences.
• Complete commissioning and ensure BEPS/incentive compliance.
• Support sales with market details and proposals.
