Job summary

Parity is a remote HVAC optimization service provider seeking a Building Intelligence Engineer in the Washington DC area to ensure client buildings are integrated and optimized within Parity’s platform.

You will lead on-site assessments, energy analyses, and installation management, collaborating with sales and operations while advancing projects from start to finish and reducing energy waste across buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher with interest in HVAC/building automation.
• 2–5 years in energy auditing, MEP engineering, or controls/building automation.
• Familiarity with energy incentive programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site assessments to estimate savings and costs for Parity’s service.
• Run energy analyses using Parity tools based on site data and utilities.
• Oversee installation and setup to meet schedule and budget.
• Coordinate between Parity software and client building controllers; test control sequences.
• Complete commissioning and sign-off with program requirements in mind.
• Manage incentive applications and procurement on behalf of Parity.
• Interview building staff to understand control protocols and challenges.
• Support sales with market details and proposals.
• Serve as a local technical resource for live buildings.
• Support customers during and after installation.
• Understand BEPS and local policy trends in DC/MD/VA.
