Remote HVAC Estimator – Residential New Construction

Job summary

Airtron is seeking an Estimator to use residential blueprints to perform HVAC load calculations, duct designs and material takeoffs for new construction homes. The role provides daily guidance to the Estimating team and acts as the primary contact between estimating and the remote division.

Essential duties include interpreting blueprints and CAD drawings, estimating materials and labor, communicating updates to divisions, and training team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years prior estimation experience.
• Must possess basic CAD operating skills.
• Ability to operate estimating and load calculation software efficiently with minimal or no mistakes.
• General computer competency including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Overtime with little notice; weekends may be required.
• Ability to lead a team of 1-3 employees and delegate work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Interprets blueprints and CAD drawings to create HVAC load calculations.
• Estimate materials and labor costs for residential HVAC installations.
• Communicate and distribute information to sales, admin, leadership and estimation teams.
• Provide regular updates to the assigned division to support the bid process.
• Evaluate team processes and job completion; train team members.
• Maintain good customer relations and resolve concerns fairly and promptly.
• Follow location initiatives and inform internal customers accordingly.
• Develop improvement plans in response to feedback to direct manager.
• Ensure all administrative guidelines are followed for reporting and paperwork.
• Provide backup support to the Estimation Manager as needed.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
