Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Equipment Complex Project Engineer to oversee large, complex HVAC projects across the U.S. This role supports the Building Solutions North America business and can be remote, offering flexibility for a highly capable project leader.

Ideal candidates bring a Mechanical Engineering degree and 3+ years of operations or project management experience, with strong knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years operations or mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience leading large complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project P&L and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate backlog and schedule up to two years ahead.
• Develop engineered equipment submittals in line with drawings and site requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates and proposals; negotiate final settlements.
• Ensure documentation compliance with contract requirements.
• Coordinate training with service and ensure payments upon completion.
