Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Equipment Complex Projects Engineer to design and manage larger, more complex HVAC equipment projects across the U.S. The role can be remote, with collaboration across sales, project management and engineering to balance customer satisfaction and project financials.

You will oversee project scope, schedule, and deliveries, coordinating with logistics, branch administrations and customers to ensure compliant, on-time execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years operations management experience, or mechanical engineering experience.
• Project management.
• Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large complex projects with extensive execution teams and with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manages project P&L and customer satisfaction for all projects assigned.
• Works with branch administrations to manage backlog, schedule and forecast execution up to two years in advance.
• Actively manages project turnover between equipment sales and equipment order execution.
• Interprets engineering drawings to develop submittals in line with contract and site requirements.
• Generates submittals and coordinates coil selection, fan selection, chiller performance and configuration to match schedule.
