Job summary

WSP is seeking a High Voltage Transmission Line Inspector for the Baton Rouge area with the ability to work remotely from approved locations and up to 100% travel. The role involves supporting engineers and project managers by inspecting construction activities, verifying conformance to plans, specs, and regulations, and generating precise inspection documentation.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and at least 9 years of inspection experience, with proficiency in Word/Excel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 9 years post-education experience in construction inspection.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR background check.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; capable of photo documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze site data from plans, surveys, and drawings.
• Perform field inspections on mid-to-large projects for compliance with specs.
• Prepare concise reports with photos, calculations, and drawings.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and assist with risk assessment.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers on inspections.
