Job summary

FWI (FedWriters, Inc.) seeks a Human Centered Design Expert to support the HHS Office of Minority Health in making materials accessible to LEP communities. You will leverage human-centered design to promote health priorities, improve communication, and empower LEP Americans to access HHS OMH information.

The role is remote, full-time, offering growth in a fast-paced, federally focused environment with strong collaboration across teams and ongoing opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to human-centered design, UX, CS, or similar.
• Six or more years of experience providing human-centered design consultation.
• Must be eligible for an HHS Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review, recommend, and implement changes to incorporate human-centered design into revised HHS OMH materials.
• Review HHS OMH materials and suggest improvements based on human-centered design principles.
• Apply human-centered design processes to LEP-focused materials and evaluate designs against LEP community requirements.
• Advise HHS OMH on human-centered design matters and provide templates and design guidance.
• Contribute to contract deliverables including literacy materials, outreach materials, meeting agendas, and annual reports.
• Juggle multiple deliverables and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attend project status update meetings biweekly.

Education

Bachelor's degree in human-centered design, UX design, computer science, or related field

Master's degree in human-centered design, UX design, computer science, or similar field
