Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy seeks a High School World Languages Teacher to deliver virtual instruction from a Duluth, GA office and home-based setup. This role requires Georgia teaching certification and ongoing collaboration with families and school staff.

You will assess student progress, support MTSS/RTI, and participate in Georgia state assessments while maintaining strong communication with families and the school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in the content area or related field.
• Georgia teaching certification in the subject area.
• Georgia Clearance Certificate required within the first 30 days of hire.
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events (occasional overnight travel).
• Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to curriculum and standards.
• Assess student progress and provide intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with counselors, SPED staff, and advisory teachers to meet student needs.
• Engage families with regular communication and progress updates.
• Maintain attendance records and documentation of intervention and progress.
• Participate in required state assessments in-person and virtually.
