Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) in Kansas City, MO, seeks an HS&E Engineer II to develop and conduct activities ensuring compliance with health, safety, and DOE directives. The role supports facilities, regulators, and audits, focusing on preventing hazards and enhancing safety culture.

Responsibilities include inspections, incident investigations, training updates, and participation in strategic HS&E projects. Travel up to 5% and ability to work on-site or hybrid as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Safety, Environmental, Fire Protection, Emergency Management or related field and two years of HS&E experience.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Respond to HS&E questions from facility, regulators, or customers.
• Investigate, elevate, report, and present on incidents or near misses.
• Perform inspections and assessments to improve HS&E culture.
• Maintain and track HS&E tasks in tracking systems.
• Support audits and corrective actions from internal, customer, ISO, or corporate bodies.
