Job summary

Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of hiring/recruiting, modern office methods, equipment and common computer applications, California State Personnel Board and Civil Service laws, rules and regulations and Human Resources experience.

Responsibilities

Interpret and apply SPB laws, CCR, CalHR guidelines and departmental policies; utilize ECOS to post and track vacancies.
Review and analyze job applications, resumes, and SOQs for eligibility and compliance with minimum qualifications.
Assist with composing job advertisements, Duty Statement revisions and interview questions; maintain recruitment records and historical files.
Create and maintain rapports with staff, state agencies and outside entities; present material and provide training to the public.
Travel and occasional weekend work to assist HR functions, proctor exams, attend career fairs and trainings.
