Job summary

APV is seeking a Payroll & Processing Specialist to provide full-performance level support to DHS OCHCO and component HR offices. The role independently handles routine and moderately complex personnel action processing, pay corrections, T&A support, and customer service in alignment with GPPA and DHS policy with limited supervision.

Responsibilities include processing appointments, promotions, separations, drafting SF-50s/SF-52s, inspecting time-in-grade, maintaining logs, and supporting

Qualifications

Minimum 5-7 years of federal HR or payroll experience with hands-on processing.
Strong knowledge of OPM GPPA and Title 5 pay authorities.
Ability to draft SF-50s/SF-52s and perform pay corrections.
Experience with NFC systems such as EmpowHR, EPP/MyEPP, and webTA.
Excellent written and verbal communication for HR partner inquiries.

Responsibilities

Process routine and moderately complex personnel actions including appointments and separations.
Apply GPPA guidance to ensure correct NOAC, authority citations, and dates.
Prepare SF-50s and SF-52s with accurate pay data and authorities.
Verify time-in-grade and supporting documentation prior to processing.
Maintain audit-ready logs and support end-of-year processing and reconciliations.
