Job summary

Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA) is hiring an HR Associate to run the systems and operational side of People Operations for a distributed, international staff. You’ll own onboarding, contracts, expenses, payroll inputs, and tax filings, with projects to automate and apply AI to standard requests.

You’ll report to the HR Manager and collaborate with teams across Business Operations, Finance, and Legal. This is a full-time, remote role with a December 2026 start window and opportunity to shape

Qualifications

• 2+ years of operations or HR operations experience.
• Attention to detail in payroll inputs, tax filings, and records.
• Comfort with HRIS, payroll, and related systems.
• Interest in learning employment compliance and payroll.
• Experience or interest in building AI-driven workflows.
• Willingness to perform administrative tasks reliably.
• Clear written communication in professional contexts.
• Commitment to CEA’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and offboarding workflows end-to-end.
• Coordinate payroll inputs across US, UK, and international entities.
• Handle tax registrations and filings for multiple jurisdictions.
• Administer contracts and onboarding/documents (DocuSign, templates).
• Develop AI-assisted drafting and internal FAQs/workflows.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and run routine reports.
• Produce monthly HR and Finance reporting.
• Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries.
