Job summary

CFS is seeking a hands-on HR Manager / HR Generalist in Westport, CT with remote flexibility. You will oversee HR administration, payroll coordination through a PEO, benefits, onboarding, compliance, and employee support across two organizations.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently, taking ownership of daily HR operations while collaborating with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Hands-on HR Generalist/Manager experience.
• Payroll, benefits, onboarding, and compliance for multistate workforce.
• Experience with PEOs (Justworks, Rippling) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding, offboarding, changes, and termination documents.
• Oversee payroll coordination via a PEO, including payroll changes, wage adjustments, bonuses, leaves, and updates.
• Administer employee benefits, respond to inquiries, coordinate with providers, and lead open enrollment.
• Support recruiting and hiring initiatives with internal/external recruiters.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across a multi-state remote workforce.
• Maintain HR policies, personnel records, and documentation.
• Track annual compliance training and ensure timely completion.
• Manage HR records and employee tracking systems.
• Serve as primary day-to-day HR contact for employee needs.
• Support HR operations across two organizations for consistency and accuracy.
