Job summary

Acme Technical Group is seeking an HR Generalist to support a multi-site, field-based workforce in Virginia. You will handle end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, licensing, and compliance while partnering with the General Manager and regional Project Managers.

The role requires at least 3 years in HR, strong knowledge of Virginia and federal employment law, and experience with HRIS/payroll systems. Remote with occasional travel to job sites and meetings within Virginia.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role.
• Working knowledge of Virginia and federal employment law.
• Familiarity with DCJS licensing requirements and processes.

Responsibilities

• Recruit full-cycle recruitment for technical and admin staff across regions.
• Coordinate onboarding including payroll enrollment and benefits setup.
• Maintain DCJS licensing and compliance records for employees and company.
• Prepare routine HR reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Provide guidance to managers on employee relations and performance issues.
• Support field operations with timely HR responses and safety-related matters.
• Administer benefits enrollment and coordinate with providers.
