Job summary

Apex Geotech Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist to provide broad-based HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and performance management. You will be a key contact for employees and managers, helping ensure compliant and effective HR practices across the organization.

Responsibilities include full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, performance processes, HR data integrity, policy development, leave programs, and HR reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
• Working knowledge of employment and labor law (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA).
• HRIS proficiency; Paylocity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment: postings, screening, interviews, offers.
• Onboard new hires and coordinate orientation.
• Serve as first contact for employee relations; document issues.
• Administer benefits programs and vendor coordination.
• Support performance management, reviews, goals, and improvement plans.
• Maintain HR records and HRIS data with confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA).
• Administer leave programs (FMLA, ADA, workers' comp).
• Assist with HR policies and employee handbook administration.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives.
• Prepare HR metrics/reports to support data-driven decisions.
• Support compensation documentation and pay-practice compliance.
• Assist with unemployment claims, investigations, and compliance.
