Cause Capacity is seeking a detail-oriented HR Associate for a part-time, remote contract role serving nonprofit and small business clients across the U.S.

You will manage payroll, onboarding and offboarding, benefits coordination, and HR policy implementation, working up to 40 hours per month with compensation of $30–$40 per hour. This 1099 position offers flexible scheduling in a mission-driven environment.

Qualificações

• 3-5 years of human resources experience.
• Hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Current or recent experience applying California employment laws.
• Experience supporting small teams, startups, or nonprofits preferred.
• Comfortable working in a remote, fast-moving, and client-facing environment and managing multiple priorities independently.

Responsabilidades

• Payroll and Benefits: Administer HRIS and payroll systems, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain accurate employee records.
• Onboarding: Coordinate onboarding across multiple clients, prepare offer letters and new-hire communications, and audit records.
• Offboarding and Terminations: Coordinate offboarding, determine final payroll requirements, and maintain records.
• HR Policy: Collaborate on policy development and implementation.
• Compliance: Administer required training and track completion.
• Other: Maintain employee files and support project management.
