Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced HP NonStop Infrastructure Engineer to provide L2/L3 support for mission-critical HP NonStop environments. The role covers Guardian/OSS administration, Pathway/TMF, SQL/MP/MX, and related tools, in a 24x7 production setting.

Remote, USA-based position with opportunistic on-call and automation development using TACL, NetBatch, NSScheduler, and JAMS. Competitive salary and discretionary annual incentive program based on performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on HP NonStop (Tandem) experience.
• 5+ years of Guardian OS/OSS administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of Pathway and TMF.
• Experience with SQL/MP and/or SQL/MX.
• Proficiency with HP NonStop monitoring and diagnostic tools (EMS, MEASURE, PTrace).
• Experience with Expand, Spooler, batch-processing, and related NonStop subsystems.
• Experience supporting 24x7 production environments and incident RCA.
• Understanding ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production and infrastructure support for HP NonStop in a 24x7 environment.
• Install, configure, administer, patch, and upgrade Guardian/OSS environments.
• Monitor health, performance, capacity, and availability with EMS/MEASURE/PTrace.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues across Pathway, TMF, and SQL.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure availability, fault tolerance, and disaster resilience across data centers.
• Collaborate with teams on performance tuning and resource optimization.
• Plan changes and deployments per ITIL and CAB processes.
• Develop automation with TACL, NetBatch, NSScheduler, or JAMS.
