Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced HP NonStop Infrastructure Engineer for a remote role in the USA. You will provide L2/L3 infrastructure support for mission-critical HP NonStop environments, perform system administration, upgrades, and RCA while ensuring 24x7 availability.

The role requires hands-on expertise with HP NonStop, Guardian OS/OSS, Pathway, TMF, SQL/MP or SQL/MX, EMS, MEASURE, and PTrace, along with incident resolution and automation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on HP NonStop (Tandem) experience.
• 5+ years Guardian OS and/or OSS administration and support.
• Experience with Pathway and TMF.
• Experience with SQL/MP and/or SQL/MX.
• Proficiency with HP NonStop monitoring tools EMS, MEASURE, and PTrace.
• Experience 24x7 production environments and incident RCA.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production and infrastructure support for HP NonStop systems in a 24x7 environment.
• Install, configure, administer, maintain, patch, and upgrade Guardian and OSS environments and components.
• Monitor health, performance, capacity, and availability using EMS, MEASURE, and PTrace.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues involving Pathway, TMF, Expand, SQL/MP, SQL/MX, Spooler, and batch processing.
• Perform RCA and implement corrective/preventive measures.
• Support availability, fault tolerance, stability, and disaster resilience across data centers.
• Collaborate with application teams on performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Plan and execute changes per ITIL/CAB change-management processes.
