Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an HP NonStop Infrastructure Engineer to provide L2/L3 support for mission-critical Tandem environments. You will manage Guardian/OSS, monitor health with EMS/MEASURE/PTrace, and troubleshoot complex subsystems like Pathway, TMF, and SQL in a 24x7 setting.

You will be involved in RCA, disaster resilience, and automation using TACL, NetBatch, NSScheduler, and JAMS, collaborating with cross-functional teams globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on HP NonStop (Tandem) systems experience.
• 5+ years of Guardian OS/OSS administration and support.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Pathway and TMF.
• Strong experience with SQL/MP and/or SQL/MX.
• Experience with HP NonStop monitoring/diagnostic tools: EMS, MEASURE, PTrace.
• Experience troubleshooting Expand, Spooler, batch-processing and related NonStop subsystems.
• Experience supporting 24×7 production environments and incident management.
• Understanding of ITIL-based incident, problem and change management, CAB changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production and infrastructure support for HP NonStop systems in a 24×7 environment.
• Install, configure, administer, maintain, patch, and upgrade Guardian and OSS environments.
• Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability using EMS, MEASURE, and PTrace.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and production issues across Pathway, TMF, SQL, and batch processing.
• Perform RCA for production incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure availability, fault tolerance, and disaster resilience across data centers.
• Collaborate with application teams on performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Plan and execute changes, upgrades, patches, and deployments under ITIL/CAB governance.
• Develop automation using TACL scripting, NetBatch, NSScheduler, and JAMS.
