Job summary

Bloomberg Philanthropies is seeking a part-time fellow to support housing projects across multiple client cities. The role emphasizes data analysis, policy research, and development of presentations. It is remote, roughly 20 hours per week, and on a six-month contract.

The fellow will conduct program research, support needs assessments, and help develop dashboards and SOPs while coordinating with city staff and consultants. A Bachelor's degree and two years in related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in affordable housing, urban planning, or nonprofit administration.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong delivery focus.
  • Proven ability to execute projects and conduct policy research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting data effectively (PowerPoint; Tableau helpful).
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and work with high-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct program research and interview municipal staff as part of existing housing program audits.
  • Support the development of Housing Needs Assessments by producing data analyses, overseeing project management or consultants, and developing presentations or reports.
  • Provide technical assistance and project management support in the development of public-facing housing dashboards, backend data infrastructure, and governing SOPs in multiple cities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and develop presentations that communicate the impact of municipal programs.
  • Undertake housing best practice research and develop policy or program case studies that help guide clients as they develop local strategies.
  • Coordinate with interlocutors at client cities, maintaining professional communication and fostering successful working relationships.
