Job summary

EMPACT- Suicide Prevention Center, part of the La Frontera family, is seeking a Hotline Therapist in Tempe, AZ. You will support callers on the suicide hotline with crisis interventions for veterans, service members, and families, and guide referrals to available services. Remote but must be an AZ resident.

Minimum 5 years in behavioral health required. Master’s in psychology or related field; crisis experience and veteran focus preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required for Therapist roles.
• Bachelor’s degree required for Specialist roles.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health.
• Crisis experience preferred.
• Experience working with Veterans and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer all phone lines professionally and promptly.
• Assess caller needs and provide crisis interventions as needed.
• Provide safe, effective clinical interventions to callers.
• Document thoroughly and forward referrals with required information
• Collaborate with internal and external clients; maintain flexibility.
• Monitor 72-Hour Suicide Watch or Safety Follow-Up call-ins.
• Attend required meetings and training; evenings/nights may be required.
• Assist the hotline coordinator in training new staff.
• Ensure program forms are stocked and area kept organized.
