Qualifications

• 3+ years ICD-10/CPT hospital coding experience.
• 3+ years JCAHO/DHEC ICD-10/CPT guidelines knowledge.
• Medical Terminology experience.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Working knowledge of 3M System.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• CCS or CCS-P Certification through AHIMA.

Responsibilities

• Code facility encounters (Inpatient, Outpatient, Recurring, Outpatient surgery, etc.) using ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT.
• Meet productivity standards: Inpatient 3/hr; Outpatient Surgery/Observation 7/hr; Outpatient/Recurring 16/hr.
• QA target: 95% quality; 90% acceptable if needed.
• Respond to audit feedback from Waystar/MedeAnalytics; correct encounters by due date.
• Coordinate with auditors and managers as required.
