Job summary

MedSrv is seeking a Billing Account Coordinator to handle timely billing of hospice or home health claims in paper and electronic formats. The role requires proficiency with Epic and various insurance portals, and responsibilities include collections, adjustments, and denials management.

Clear communication with payers and patients is essential. The position is full-time and remote across TN, GA, AL, FL, NC, SC, KY with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance in the Revenue Cycle

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of related experience in Home Health & Hospice medical billing.
Knowledge of office software and medical billing software.

Responsibilities

Submits claims to insurance companies accurately and promptly.
Follows up on outstanding payments to ensure timely reimbursement.
Works on denials and appeals to resolve payment issues.
Documents resolution attempts thoroughly for record-keeping.
Maintains account balances and reduces days in Accounts Receivable (A/R).
Communicates effectively with insurance companies, patients, and internal departments.
Ensures compliance with billing regulations and standards.
