Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking self-motivated Field Consultants to conduct on-site high value property surveys in the Greater Portland area. You will schedule visits, take photos and measurements, and document construction details for underwriting purposes—as a 1099 contractor.

Applicants with underwriting or residential inspection experience, strong communication skills, and a reliable vehicle are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Prior underwriting or residential inspection experience is desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-starting, self-motivated, and self-directed independent contractor mindset.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and insurance.
• Experience with diagramming tools (Rapid Sketch, Xactimate, CAD) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site High Value Property surveys.
• Visit properties, take photos and measurements.
• Identify construction materials, characteristics, and unique features of the home.
• Obtain measurements of the home and other structures on the property.
• Generate an estimated replacement value and identify major hazards.
• Communicate findings through the loss control system on Signature website.
