Job summary

Stride, Inc. partners with the Virginia Virtual Academy (VAVA) to deliver a high school special education program online. This full-time role is remote, with periodic in-person events and collaboration with families to meet personalized student goals.

The base salary is $50,000 with eligibility for a performance bonus. The role requires 40+ hours per week, strong communication, and use of Stride K12’s LMS. Occasional travel (about 20%) for testing and professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Active Virginia teaching license.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery.
• Maintains grade book and tracks student progress.
• Prepares students for high-stakes standardized tests.
• Communicates with families/learning coaches regularly.
• Travels for face-to-face professional development and testing as required.
