Job summary

Evergreen Virtual Academy - Remote is seeking a High School Social Studies Teacher to deliver standards-aligned instruction in a virtual setting with occasional in-person events across Oregon. The role requires a Bachelor's in Education, state teaching eligibility, and the ability to work within the EVA CBA framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Experience meeting Highly Qualified Teacher requirements in subject area by state standards.
• Ability to clear required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Teaching assigned subjects utilizing course of study and skill sequences aligned with district and school goals and objectives.
• Planning for the instructional needs of all students; attending to the special needs of students; teaching high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
• Developing lesson plans and virtual instructional materials for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
• Using a variety of assessments to inform instruction.
• Creating and maintaining an active, responsive climate for learning and positive teacher-student rapport.
• Supervising and administering state assessments, including preparation, logistics, and security.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Education
