Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Thought Leader Liaison to build strategic relationships with leading external experts in hepatology/GI across the US. You will plan engagements, generate insights, and influence brand strategy through executive-facing interactions.

The role requires a deep understanding of hepatology, strong cross-functional collaboration, and willingness to travel up to 60–80% of the time, including nights and weekends. This position may be remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum10 years of experience in field sales, product marketing, or medical/clinical roles within pharma or biotech.
• Specialty Hepatology/GI experience required in one of the above functions.
• Experience presenting to executive audiences (live and virtual) and influencing strategic decisions or stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with assigned External Experts through meaningful, value-driven interactions.
• Plan and execute compliant External Expert engagements aligned to brand priorities and External Expert needs outside of advisory and congress events.
• Segment and manage a thought leader network to optimize engagement and insight generation.
• Compliantly elicit, document, and synthesize clinical, competitive, and strategic insights from External Experts in combination with data available from Insights and Analytics.
• Share insights with marketing leadership to inform brand strategy, resource allocation, and tactic development.
• Plan and execute External Expert consulting engagements and advisory boards.
