Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician (Field) to maintain and repair critical equipment at customer sites, starting from Sparks, NV. You’ll work on diesel engines, heavy machinery, and allied equipment with extensive training and a strong safety focus.

The role supports work at customer facilities and transitions to service trucks, with First Shift, Monday–Friday, and an hourly pay range of $28–$52 depending on experience. Remote position options are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is highly preferred.
• CDL preferred and beneficial for field service work.
• 5+ years of hands-on heavy equipment or field technician experience.
• Strong communication, reporting, and basic math skills.
• Proficiency with work orders and documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heavy equipment to high standards.
• Provide accurate quotes and timely service in the field.
• Follow health, safety, and company policies at all times.
• Document repair processes, parts, and time spent.
• Diagnose issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Move from Sparks, NV location to service trucks as needed.
