Job summary

Vermeer Midwest is seeking a Remote Service Technician to join our Sterling Heights team. You’ll be the go-to expert for customers in the Sterling Heights area, operating a fully equipped service truck you take home to perform on-site repairs and preventive maintenance.

You will diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues on heavy equipment, maintain service records, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing heavy-duty vehicles or equipment.
• Valid Chauffeur’s license and medical card are required. CDL is preferred.
• Background in agricultural equipment is a plus.
• Must pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues on heavy equipment.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Work independently with a fully equipped service truck and schedule.
